 Hi there! I’m Elizabeth: mom, neuroscientist, kayaker, ikebana student, quilter and cook! For the past 30 years I have been honoured and privileged to serve my neuroscience community in varying roles as a research-scientist, diplomat, and administrator. Throughout those years, while raising my two kids, I spent many happy hours sewing their clothes, toys and quilts, plus gardening, pickling and preserving. 

 

On the weekends in Ontario, every spring, summer and fall we would drive up the road to the diPaoli Farm to pick cucumbers for dill pickles, roma tomatoes for salsa, and corn for roasted corn relish. Further up the road, at Andrew's Scenic Acres we’d pick berries for jams, jellies and preserves.

Now that I’ve moved back to the beautiful BC West Coast, for the next 30 years I’m going to channel my creative energies to produce and share these artisanal delights with my local and online communities.
