Autumn is symbolic of plenty, ripening, harvest, and abundance. This is also a very busy season at Epicure Preserves. There’s a brief window for making crab apple jellies, quince jellies and membrillo, along with Damson plum jam and salal jelly. There’s a longer period for putting up jars of garlic dill pickles for the winter, along with pickled carrots, beets and mixed veggies. Roasted corn relish and roma tomato salsa are early fall preserves that are customer favourites.
